Education is not easily accessible to Haitian youth. Fewer than 19% of students complete primary school, with even fewer able to enroll in high school due to financial hardships. Due to the leadership of HTF’s In-Country Director, Maya, and the generosity of the HTF community, we’ve been able to start two different programs that support and empower Haitian youth as they continue their education into high school.

Christene graduated from the Chemen Lavi Miyò (CLM) program in December 2025. Her testimony about repairing her home demonstrated two important parts of the program - creating a safe space for her family, and equally important, knowing you are strong enough to do it independent of a man. 

Instead of allowing difficult circumstances to hold them back, HELP graduates use them as fuel to create lasting change in Haiti. In December 2025, the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (HELP) celebrated the graduation of the classes of 2024 and 2025. In total, thirty-seven students earned their university degree. This accomplishment is a true testament to their perseverance! 

To support our long-term partnership with Centre d’Education Integree (CEI), the Haitian Timoun Foundation used the funds raised during the 2025 Hoops for Haiti campaign to assist with the building of three new classrooms. These new classrooms enable CEI to enroll up to 100 additional students.
